Daryl L. Dibler

My professional experience began in 1980 with Aetna Life & Casualty. From there I moved on to St. Paul Insurance Company, Hinz Claim Management and Lake States Insurance Company. Each move involved a higher degree of responsibility and expertise. My experience has included all aspects of technical and managerial endeavor in the insurance field. In 2001, I left the insurance corporate side to start my own consulting firm.

On January 9, 2002 I formed Native American Insurance Service, Inc. I am a Native American and wanted to use the insurance expertise I had developed to assist Native American tribes as well as Native American owned businesses with their insurance needs. In that regard I have been active in tribal matters with my own tribes, Citizen Potawatomi and Absentee Shawnee, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; as well as other tribes. I have also joined and been active in various Native American business and non-profit organizations across the country. I am a member of Native American Business Alliance and have served as a board member for the Native American Chamber of Commerce of Houston, Texas.

During my insurance career the companies where I worked often needed a minority partner in order to compete for government contracts at all levels. It was apparent that there was a need for a minority company versed in all aspects of insurance needs, including claims work and brokerage. Native American Insurance Service, Inc. serves that need for its government contractor clients.

I am married and my wife and I have four children. I received my AS in political science with academic honors from IL Central College in East Peoria, IL and my BS in political science with academic honors from IL State University in Normal, IL.
